5 Week STATurday - Focus T25 Alpha Phase (with pics)

I don't know about you but I truly believe the saying "the proof is in the pudding". I am telling you I represent Beachbody Products because they WORK (if you work them) and what better way then have photographic evidence ... you know what they say; A picture is worth a Thousand Words

I started   Focus T25 on Monday July 1, 2013. I knew I had gained weight and flab back since getting into a happy relationship but I hadn't realized how much until I took pics and measurements and weighed myself. I was, frankly, disgusted with myself. I had worked so hard to get to where I was and I was letting it go due to being HAPPY ...

Depression and unhappiness are a huge motivator for me and I, unlike others in that situation, don't binge eat, I binge workout. So being HAPPY actually impeded my workout goals ... I think I have found a balance now between having a successful relationship as well as being able to get my workouts in. Having Focus T25 as an option to work out every day for 25 minutes a day allows me to get my workout in as well as spend time with my boyfriend and (every other weekend) his daughter. Heck, she even works out with me when she's over during the week ... it's very cute.

Okay now the moment you've ALL been waiting for; the 5 week results

Stats:

7/1/2013 - Starting weight 149.2 (OMG I AM UP ALMOST 10 LBS IN 2 YEARS!)
8/3/2013 - 5 week weight 145.8 (OMG I AM DOWN 3.4  LBS!)

Overall inches 5.5 ... Pretty good start.

The Alpha phase is your "foundation". The moves are based mostly on cardio and body resistance training there are NO WEIGHTS used in this phase. This phase is designed to make you stronger and build endurance. They consist of Cardio, Speed 1.0 (love the music in this one), Lower Focus, Ab Intervals and Total Body Circuit. Total Body Circuit is the one workout in phase 1 that gave me the most issue. You have to remember I am almost 50 years old and as much as I'd like to think it, my body just isn't able to do some of the stuff. I try to do all the moves I can before jumping to the modifier (Tania) but I can say, with confidence, that even the modified moves make you sweat.

You can see a marked difference in my abs and back.

Beta phase starts on MONDAY and I can't wait. It will incorporate weights.

My Focus T25 Gamma set arrived on Friday and I will be doing those 4 weeks as well (the Pure Gamma set not the hybrid).

  1. Looking good! Keep it up!! I admit, I was skeptical of T25, but I'm getting ready to start the last week of Alpha phase and I'm a convert. Simply put - it works. Well. You just have to do it. :)

  2. The back shot is a fabulous change :) Also, your face in the "after" looks noticeably more lifted... something I notice about myself when I'm on point with my fitness. Anything I can to do stay away from a face lift, I'm all in favor of it!

    1. Totally Amanda! I still have to take my 10 week shots but Saturday (end of 10 weeks) I was completely bloated from hot weather here in LA and having drunk 22 glasses of water on Friday LOL ... will post up total progress pics here in the coming weeks.
